Travis Homes
Travis is a small town located either mid-island or on the western shore of Staten Island, depending on who you talk to. Originally Travisville, the town was named after Colonel Jacob Travis, a landowner and resident of Travis before the Civil War. Travis is home to many patriotic history buffs. They are fiercely proud of their the annual 4th of July Parade, and with good reason: in 1777, Travis witnessed a major battle between the Patriots and the Loyalists.
