My name is Fran Romano. I was born in Bensonhurst Brooklyn and attended PS 229, Dyker Heights JHS, and on to Lafayette HS. I attended Secretarial School in Manhattan and graduated with honors back when we used stenography and typewriters! I then worked for Pan American World Airways at JFK Airport until I became pregnant with my first child in 1976. We bought a house in Dyker Heights where we stayed for 30 years. I raised my 4 children there.
When the youngest started school I got my real estate license and worked in Brooklyn. Being a people person, I found I had a knack for helping and advising clients and making them feel comfortable in the real estate market. I did well and a lot of my clients were references from past clients.
Eventually my family business needed me and I worked full time as the head bookkeeper until 1996. As the online world was evolving I started working for Nickelodeon, People Magazine and Teen People doing various jobs and as a web designer from home.
After my father sold the business in 2001 I started working for a real estate attorney in Brooklyn and eventually with the title company.
We moved to Staten Island in 2011 and I retired to take care of my grandsons while their parents worked. Eventually life became a full circle as the children are now in school so I decided to get my real estate license again. I am enjoying working with buyers and sellers and my real estate law/title company experience comes in handy. I look forward to working with new clients.
