Out of the five boroughs in New York City, two of them do not have the Citi bikes. While Staten Island and the Bronx have not been privileged with this city feature, that is all about to change soon enough!

There have been negotiations that were made with the Department Of Transportation, which included a plan that avoids the use of taxpayer money during the involvement of the distribution of the bikes in the five boroughs. Citi Bike believes that they will bring in 6,000 new bikes in New York City, with new bike docks in Staten Island and the Bronx.

There are conflicts that occurred in intersections such as cars blocking the box, collisions, and severe accidents. The city has plans to fix this solution, working on adding numerous traffic circles along the crash-prone stretch of Greenly Avenue, which runs through Midland Beach and Grant City. This is a part of the latest phase for Vision Zero.

This plan was pitched by the city to residents last year; it will add four traffic circles to the intersections that are aligned with Greenly Avenue, to help slow down the traffic. It is also aimed to help decrease and hopefully prevent the number of conflicts that occur at those intersections, such as sharp right turns and driver's speed.
