A new restaurant is opening on Staten Island, with a perfect combination that includes food and video games! To be more specific, tacos and arcade-style video games!
There are plenty of Mexican restaurants throughout Staten Island; with locations from Port Richmond, New Dorp, Great Kills and more. Gringos will be a restaurant and bar that will open next year in Urby Staten Island Apartment complex in Stapleton, close to the ferry. With Urby Staten Island being on the waterfront, Gringos will be a great place to eat and relax and play games!
Darren Conway and Rebecca Tarantino, that also both own Pier 13 and Lulu Lounge in Hoboken, teamed up with Urby to have Gringos open in the Stapleton area. They wanted to add something different and fun for the community in the 500,000-square foot space they are taking in the luxury building.
The selections of video games are just as exciting as the food menu. The arcade will mostly have classics such as Donkey Kong, Mario Brothers, skeeball, etc. A place where grownups can relive their childhood again in their local hometown!
The food menu will feature tacos and other various Mexican foods. There will also be two bar areas inside the venue, too. In October, they had a sneak peek of the place to the public. However, Gringos won’t be opening until March 2017. Not only will there be this Staten Island location, but the owners are planning to open another Gringos located in New Jersey.
