The first tenant has been announced for the shopping plaza that is coming soon to Staten Island’s South Shore. The Riverside Galleria plaza will be located near the Outerbridge Crossing on Arthur Kill Road in the Charleston neighborhood. The plaza will be a total of 470,000 square feet and include retail stores, restaurants, and cafes.

The dine-in theater will be 55,000 square feet and will hold up to 16 screening rooms. Not only will it be the first tenant in the Riverside Galleria Plaza, but the first dine-in theater to open up on Staten Island. This owner of the dine-in theater is also the owner of Great Kills’ movie theater the Atrium. He is excited to announce that this establishment gives Staten Island residents the opportunity to go to a dine-in theater locally, but will also have a rooftop bar! This will give us all a new upgraded Friday evening when we are attending the newest flick to open in theaters!

The Riverside Galleria is expected to open in 2017. In 2014, we surveyed our Facebook followers asking what places they wish were located on Staten Island, that was later turned into a top ten. Number three on the list was a dine-in movie theater. With one wish granted, what do you hope is the next place on our Top Ten list to open up on Staten Island?
