Barnegat Light is a borough located in Ocean County, and is boarded by the Atlantic Ocean on Long Beach Island. Home to the Barnegat Lighthouse aka “Old Barney” which is a big part of the towns and has its own history. Public School students attending kindergarten through sixth grade go to the Long Beach Island Consolidated School District; from seventh through twelfth grade they attend the Southern Regional School District. Public transportation is provided by the Ocean County Ride on the OC9 LBI North route between Barnegat Light and Manhawkin / Stafford Township. The LBI Shuttle also services the area.
