Public School 41

“Respect, Challenge, Discover…”

Around the late 1920s and early 1930s, Public School 41 was being constructed for the area. This school is located at 216 Clawson Street. Public School 41 received its name, The New Dorp School, from the neighborhood in which it serves.

Public School 41 teaches children in grades Pre-Kindergarten through fifth and offers special education programs. This school offers a decent amount of programs and after-school activities for the students: band and chorus, English as a Second Language, Integrated Arts Program, Latchkey, and more!
