The master bathroom is supposed to symbolize your private sanctuary. Therefore, it is important to explore in full range of different layouts before deciding which one is right for your space. This is the one of the rooms where many of my clients love to invest most of their money on, mainly because they want that spa like atmosphere.
The most popular question that I am always asked is how much does it cost to create my dream master bathroom. I tell them that it depends on style and budget. On average, to remodel a master bathroom can cost up to $9,000, but you can spend less than $5,000 to fix up the essentials needed in the bathroom. There are a couple of my clients who are on a mission to turn their bathroom into a private oasis and that can cost up to $20,000. This all depends on the décor and style that my clients are trying to achieve and it is my job to make sure that it gets done.
When decorating any room, one question that you need to ask yourself is how you want the room to feel once you enter it. When decorating the master bathroom, many of my clients often want the bathtub and the walk in shower. It is important that I explain to my clients to look at their floor plan that they have. If they have the space, they can get what their heart's desire. The master bathroom design is equally about function and setting a relaxing mood. This room is often shared and space allowances must be made for two people. Again, this is where communication comes into play and it is important to discuss where everything should be placed for functionality.
Many of my clients, for their master bathrooms, often pick light colors such as grays, off-white, blue, or green. Light colors anchored by the wooden or marble floors create the romantic and simple feeling for the homeowners. Adding accessories is the icing to the cake! Add accessories, such as flowers, candles, and art work to enhance that spa like atmosphere.
It is important to not overwhelm yourself when remodeling because that one tiny mistake can be very costly. At Bedford Interior Design my job is to not only save my clients thousands but to also create the home or their dreams.
