May is here to welcome! This new month is putting us one step closer to Summer! However, is your home ready for May? Here are some tasks to help you prep your house this month:
- Inspect gutters to ensure all spikes, straps, and clips are tightly fastened. Use a garden hose to flush the gutter clean.

- Wash windows, inside and out. You can use our homemade cleaning solutions. Just be sure to not work directly in the sun -- the solution will dry too fast and streak.

- Get your central air-conditioning unit ready. Be sure to it checked according to the recommendations of the unit's manufacturer. Replace the filter in the forced-air system and make sure the pump outside is clean.

- Have a swimming pool? It is time to open it and get it cleaned this month, preferably before Memorial Day weekend! Inspect and service your pool's liners and filters. 

- This task is quite simple but beneficial. Dust your ceiling fan blades. This will prevent dust from flying all over the place when you turn on your fan. 

- Set thermostats and automatic sprinkler systems to adjust for weather changes. 

- Before placing metal patio furniture outdoors, coat it with auto polish.
